This is again that season of the year during which the annual flower show is hosted in our very own Lal bagh botanical garden. On the event of Independence day, every year the flower shows are hosted, the flower show is held twice in a year at this garden. The event is marked on India's national holidays, in january for Republic Day and in august for Independence day.

Mysore Horticultural Society (MHS) is the event organizer and many private and public participants take part in the success of this show, Private participants primarily the Indo American Hybrid Seeds, Namdhari seeds and PSEs such as BHEL, HAL, ITI, BBMP, BMTC compete in this event. Annuals, seasonal bushels, shrubs and cacti are the attraction in the show.

| The Lotus Temple |
This year at the show is the Delhi Lotus temple attracting the crowd, beautiful dailies, crysanthemums, torenias, cox-combs, asters, ginia, little-asters, snap-dragon, firebushes, crotons, coulis, varieties of roses are the prime attraction. There is also a bonsai garden which can be visited to know more about the dwarf species of trees. It is one of the visual treats for photographers and young enthusiastic botany students who can learn more about the plant kingdom.
